Homestead Bed and Breakfast, in Gustavus, Alaska, the gateway to Glacier Bay National Park, is situated on a portion of an original homestead from the 1920’s. Our home looks out on open meadows full of wild strawberries and flowers and is backed by a spruce forest. Moose, bears, and a large variety of birds are frequent visitors to our yard.
We are centrally located, and it is an easy walk or bike ride to shops and restaurants, the beach, and the Salmon River. We are just over a mile from the airport. The local taxi or a rental car will get you to our door, where you can slow your pace and switch to one of our bicycles to explore Gustavus. Level terrain makes for easy bicycling, even if it has been years since you’ve been on a bike.
